LOS ANGELES’ FOLK SONGS
Our season finale! On the eve of Persian New Year, we present folk songs from some of the most ancient cultures represented in the Los Angeles area. These songs have a lot in common thematically, yet are uniquely colored by their culture’s language and customs. Our only evening show of the season, this concert is a major event with music from Persian, Jewish, Irish traditions. THE GREAT COMPOSERS GET SPIRITUAL
The best composers of all time, from Beethoven, to Schubert, Mozart and Bach, have all been influenced by spiritual texts. They have put their personal stamp on some of the grandest themes known to man.
